Roma in advanced talks to send Dahl to Benfica for 15mln | OneFootball

Samuel Dahl is in talks to join Benfica on a permanent deal.

Benfica have been negotiating for Dahl’s permanent signing for weeks and in recent days important developments have emerged regarding the negotiations with Roma.

The full-back had moved to Portugal on a onerous loan (300 thousand plus another 300 thousand in bonuses) with a buy option set at 8 million plus 2 in bonuses. And among the Portuguese executives there is no doubt that the player is worth the agreed sum.

According to Il Tempo, the crux is that Roma has reserved a right of “veto” on that option: just pay one million and the option is cancelled, with the return of the player to Italy.

This clause has forced Benfica to open a real negotiation and in the last few days an offer of around 12 million has been received. Roma, however, are asking for 15 million.

The footballer already has an agreement with Benfica and has given his preference.
