Roma to evaluate Kumbulla upon return from Espanyol

Roma are reportedly willing to give Marash Kumbulla a chance in preseason.

The Albanian centreback spent the past year on loan at Espanyol, collecting an impressive 35 appearances to his name with 3 goals scored.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Kumbulla will soon make his return to Trigoria where Roma and soon-to-be manager Gian Piero Gasperini will evaluate the player and his fit in the team’s plans for the upcoming season.

After the departure of Mats Hummels and Mario Hermoso likely on his way out of the club, Kumbulla could represent a low-cost alternative that would enable Roma to focus on other defensive targets on the market.
