📈 Sané and Olise hit surprising milestones for Bayern | OneFootball

Bayern Munich are on the hunt once again this weekend as they currently lead 2-0 against Bundesliga upstarts Mainz at the Allianz Arena.

Owning an eight-point lead over title rivals Bayer Leverkusen before today's clash in Bavaria, Vincent Kompany's troops looked to build on their 4-0 at Heidenheim last time out and look good to secure all the points on offer in front of home support, with goals from Leroy Sané and Michael Olise giving them a comfortable lead at the break.

With his opener in the 27th minute, Sané netted his 10th Bundesliga goal of the season at a critical point in the season as the Meisterschale run-in rages on.

Surprisingly, it is the first time since leaving Manchester City that the German international winger has hit a double-digit goal return.

Under the guidance of former boss Pep Guardiola, Sané scored 10 goals in the Premier League in consecutive campaigns between 2017-2019, and though he's been consistent for Bayern in front of goal, has never hit the same goalscoring heights until now.

As for Olise, the French youngster has been a breath of fresh air at the club since his arrival from Crystal Palace in the summer while taking his opportunities with both hands along the way.

His strike minutes before the break saw him climb to 20 total goal contributions in the Bundesliga this season; a first for his career.

With Bayern closing on another league title, the wide-man duopoly are a force to be reckoned with.
