Six duels lost and 0 tackles made: One Red is only playing due to injuries, he has to be dropped ASAP

Hopefully, for Ruben Amorim’s sake, he can welcome some sidelined stars back to the fold for Manchester United’s return to action on April 1.
Numerous players stepped up to the mark the exact way Amorim would’ve wanted them to during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Leicester City. Bruno Fernandes was – unsurprisingly – at his prolific best when notching two assists before finding the back of the net himself, while the likes of Ayden Heaven (prior to his substitution), Matthijs de Ligt and Alejandro Garnacho were sensational on the night.
Yet, there was one Red who endured a subpar display against the relegation favourites: Victor Lindelof. According to statistics relayed by Fotmob, the Swede failed to win a single tackle – which, at one stage, allowed Jamie Vardy through on goal to get his shot away before De Ligt heroically intervened with a last-ditch block.

Lindelof was dribbled past once, lost six duels and committed two fouls. Additionally, he did not win any of his three attempted ground duels.
Ultimately, Amorim has had little to no choice but to utilise the defender due to the side’s lengthy injury list at the back. Currently, all of Lisandro Martinez, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are sidelined, with Heaven now set to presumably undergo a spell out of action.
Should any of the centre-halves return to full fitness over the international break, they’re likely to come straight in for Lindelof, who is now seeing out the final three months of his contract before his eight-year Old Trafford tenure comes to an end.
Evans, Christian Eriksen and Tom Heaton will also become free agents at the end of June.
