It is no secret that Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the possibility of signing Ibrahima Konate this summer.
The Spanish giants are always looking to strengthen their squad, and the French defender has emerged as a potential target ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Konate has been outstanding since making the move to the Premier League. His physical presence, defensive awareness, and ability to play out from the back have made him an essential figure at Liverpool.
Given his contract situation, Real Madrid could be in a strong position to negotiate a transfer at a more reasonable price.
Despite having a market value of around €60 million, there are indications from Real Madrid Confidencial that he could be available for approximately €40 million.
If the player is unwilling to extend his contract, Liverpool might have no choice but to consider offers rather than risk losing him for free in the future.

The French centre-back joined Liverpool in 2021 and has since become one of the club’s most important defensive players. He has been a regular starter for the Reds, proving to be a reliable figure at the heart of the defence.
His current contract runs until 2026, which could complicate negotiations. However, with just two years remaining on his deal, a lower bid from Real Madrid could force Liverpool into a decision.
The reported €40 million valuation could turn out to be a crucial factor in determining the outcome of this potential transfer.
If Real Madrid manage to secure Konate’s signing, it would once again showcase the club’s ability to capitalise on key opportunities in the transfer market.
The Frenchman is still only 25 years old and possesses both the physical and technical qualities needed to thrive at the highest level.
Bringing him to the Santiago Bernabéu would further strengthen an already formidable squad, proving once more why Florentino Pérez remains one of the most influential figures in football.
