Ange Postecoglou has expressed doubt over whether Heung-Min Son will be available to return for Tottenham’s Europa League clash with Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.

The South Korean international again missed out in Spurs’ defeat to Liverpool with a foot injury.

It was the fourth game in a row Son has missed, with Postecoglou revealing earlier this month that the forward had been struggling with a foot problem for a while.

And speaking after his side’s heavy defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, Tottenham boss Postecoglou said he was unsure whether Son would be fit enough to return for Thursday.

“It’ll be touch and go for Thursday,” Postecoglou told BBC Sport.

“He’ll try hard. If [he’s not ready] for the first game we think he’ll be ready for the second game.”

Spurs’ opponents Bodo/Glimt are set to be without several of their key players for the clash, however, and were dealt another injury concern over the weekend.

Central defender Odin Bjørtuft was forced off during his side’s 3-0 win over KFUM in the Norweigen Eliteserien with what looked to be a groin injury and is now a doubt for the game against Tottenham.

It comes as a further blow for the club, with three players also suspended for the semi-final first-leg clash.

Captain Patrick Berg is unable to be included due to picking up too many yellow cards in the Europa League, as is the case for midfielder Hakon Evjen. Andreas Helmersen was sent off in the last round against Lazio so is also unable to play.

Winger Ole Blomberg missed his side’s most recent win and is an injury doubt to face Spurs too, as is right-back Daniel Bassi.

Bodo/Glimt knocked out Serie A side Lazio in the last round, winning on penalties in the second leg having won the first leg 2-0 before losing in the second leg by a score of 3-1.
