Inter Miami manager Tata Martino again discussed the future of former Barcelona stars. This time, however, one of them has yet to play in MLS.
Ahead of the club's playoff clash against Atlanta United, the 61-year-old addressed rumours about whether Neymar would sign for the Herons. According to reports, the Brazilian superstar was searching for a house in Miami.
"Now everyone that buys a home in Miami is coming? Ha. With Leo [Messi] and the boys already here, anything is possible but what I can't imagine is if the league doesn't make the salary issue more flexible, how it would be carried out," he said.
"The reality is that the MLS rules are strict and can't be broken, unless the MLS decides to change…Today this is impossible, so there is no more continuity in the conversation."
Additionally, Martino provided an update on the fitness of former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets ahead of game two of their three-match series.
The 36-year-old was absent from training on Friday due to sickness and, according to the manager, will be monitored on a day-to-day basis.
Inter Miami won its playoff opener 2-1 against Atlanta United and can qualify for the next round with another win.
