Juventus coach Thiago Motta told Dusan Vlahovic ‘You’ll certainly score’ before introducing the Serbian star as a substitute in a 4-1 win over Empoli.
Vlahovic got his name on the scoresheet on Sunday, contributing to Juventus’ 4-1 win against Empoli. It was his first Serie A goal in 2025.

Vlahovic started the game on the bench but found the net after he was introduced as a substitute in the second half.
Thiago Motta was caught on camera motivating the Serbian striker seconds before his introduction. The ex-Italy international told his star striker three words in Italian, as Gazzetta reported. ‘Fai goal sicuro’ which means “You’ll certainly score.”
“I could see it in his face,” Motta explained during a post-match interview.
“I see his belief, his hunger and a little anger within him. Since the start of the season, he has played so much, and there were times when he wasn’t 100 per cent fit but had to play anyway.”
Vlahovic remains Juventus’ best scorer this season, with 13 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.
His contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2026 and Juventus are eager to listen to offers for him, given that the striker doesn’t seem unwilling to sign a contract extension at the Allianz Stadium.
