Toronto FC has wrapped up a productive and eventful preseason camp in Marbella, Spain, where Robin Fraser took charge for the first time since his return as head coach.

His comeback represents a new direction for the club, aiming to leave past struggles behind and establish a clear path toward success in the 2025 MLS season.

Toronto FC ends its journey through Spain

The preseason journey began in early January, with the team traveling to Spain on January 9 and 10 to train at a high-performance facility alongside clubs from across the world.

The plan was to compete in two friendly matches, helping the squad build chemistry and refine tactics.

Toronto FC managed to play just one of the scheduled friendlies, a 1-1 draw against Friedrichstadt FK in an unusual format featuring four 30-minute periods.

Transitioning to the next stage of preseason for Toronto FC

With the Marbella camp now complete, Toronto FC will return to North America in preparation for the next phase of their preseason.

After a short rest period, the squad will head to Palm Beach, Florida, on February 10, where they will train until February 21.

This stage will include two highly competitive matches against Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew, providing the team with valuable game time before the start of the MLS season.

The intense training sessions in Spain have helped shape the squad, but now the focus shifts to finalizing preparations and fine-tuning strategies before the season opener.
