Mikel Arteta has hinted Arsenal are ready to push the boat out for the right player this summer - likening the club’s transfer budget as trying to keep costs down for a wedding.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad this summer after their search for major silverware stretched to five years.
Arsenal’s priority is to sign a new striker, but they are also in the market for a winger and backup goalkeeper.
Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is expected to join too, while the club may add to their defence depending on outgoings.
Arsenal have traditionally operated with a self-sustainable model under their current owners, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, but they have also shown a willingness to spend big.

Real Madrid are starting their summer transfer work early - they today confirmed the signing of Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth, are reportedly set to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer, and are close to signing former Man United academy star Álvaro Carreras.
According to Diario AS, the full-back is closing in on a move to Los Blancos from Benfica, where he has played 31 league matches this season and still stands a chance of lifting the Liga Portugal title.

This afternoon’s FA Cup final could prove both a blessing and a curse for Crystal Palace. Should they down Pep Guardiola's Man City and claim a first-ever major honour, their star players will be more highly coveted than ever.
The South London outfit are already likely to cash in on Marc Guehi this summer after he came close to a move to Newcastle last summer. With his contract expiring at the end of the 2025-26 season, Palace will want to cash in rather than lose him on a free transfer should he decide against extending his deal.
Also likely to draw interest are Adam Wharton and Ebere Eze, who have played crucial roles in Palace’s run to the final.
The final kicks off at 4:30pm BST at Wembley Stadium.

Aston Villa supporters fear two-time Yashin Trophy-winning goalkeeper Emi Martinez could be set to leave this summer after he was seen to be in tears on pitch following Friday’s home win over Tottenham, their last home tie of the season.
It looked to be a goodbye from the Argentina international, who has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia.
It was reported yesterday that he will consider options in both Europe and the Saudi Pro League.
Should he leave, Aston Villa are rumoured to be interested in replacing Martinez with Espanyol’s Joan Garcia.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has recorded a 75.7 per cent save rate so far this campaign, also denying two penalties as Espanyol remain mired in a relegation fight.

The MLS has authorised a second transfer window this summer ahead of the Club World Cup, according to reports, following various other top leagues in doing so.
It will only be open, though, to those clubs participating in the competition: Seattle Sounders, Inter Miami, and LAFC, should they win their qualification playoff against Club America.
The window will be open from June 1-10, allowing participating sides to sign reinforcements ahead of the expanded competition.
The Premier League made the same move earlier this year, also bringing the closure time forward from 11pm to 7pm.
