Huge deals being linked as Premier League giants look to strengthen
Transfer news – LIVE!
The January transfer window is well underway now and plenty of big moves are being tipped to happen. Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for new forward additions, with Jobe Bellingham now understood to have emerged across their radar. The Sunderland star is thriving in the Championship and could soon be the latest Bellingham brother to move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Juventus forward Dusan Vlahvoic was strongly linked with the Gunners two years ago but it seems another Premier League giant could instead land him. Indeed, Manchester United have reportedly been offered the Serbian in part-exchange for Joshua Zirkzee. With Ruben Amorim needing goals, perhaps Vlahovic will be the man to turn to.
Liverpool didn’t make many moves this summer but that could change this month, with recent reports linking them with a move for Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao. Follow all the latest news, gossip and rumours with Standard Sport’s transfer blog below!

Casemiro is increasingly willing to make the move to Saudi Arabia.
That’s according to Ben Jacobs, with it claimed that clubs believe he could be available for £25million this month.
While Casemiro was reluctant to join a Saudi side in the summer, that stance has now softened and he would become one of the top-five highest paid players in the league.

Jamie Carragher has urged Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold to “take a leaf out of” Virgil van Dijk’s book amid ongoing uncertainty over the trio’s future at Liverpool.
All three players will be out of contract at the end of the season as it stands and are therefore free to now sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.
Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and reports last week suggested Liverpool had rejected a bid from the Spanish giants to sign the right-back this month.
Salah, meanwhile, has repeatedly and publicly voiced his frustration at the lack of progress in contract talks with the club.
The Egyptian took to social media on Monday to post a picture of himself alongside Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk, in what has been viewed as another cryptic statement on the contract saga.
“Oh I don’t know,” Carragher said when asked what he made of Salah’s post.
“I would say Virgil van Dijk has come out of this whole situation, as the captain of the club, in a higher esteem for me. The way he’s conducted himself, his performances on the pitch, the way he’s led the team. He hasn’t got involved in too much around this.
“He’s come across as a real statesman the way he’s handled it. He’s been asked questions, he’s knocked it away.
“The other two could maybe look at Virgil van Dijk and take a leaf out of his book.”
