A US-based consortium has completed a majority stake takeover at Rangers, it was confirmed on Friday afternoon.
The investment group is led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, who also oversee NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers as well as a controlling stake in Premier League side Leeds United.
Following months of negotiations, a 51% stake in the Ibrox club has been purchased and approved by the Scottish FA.
After a share issue, £20m in fresh investment will be made available this summer, while private healthcare businessman Cavenagh is set to assume the role of chairman in Govan.
One of the first orders of business will be the appointment of a new first team manager after interim boss Barry Ferguson's departure.
Davide Ancelotti, Steven Gerrard and Russell Martin are among the names who have been linked with the role.
