All eyes will be on Jeddah as the fiercest rivals in football, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, brace themselves for the Spanish Super Cup final.

Not many changes are expected to the Real Madrid side which faced Mallorca, as mentioned by Carlo Ancelotti.

Luka Modric has recovered from the virus and is expected to be on the bench for this fixture.

Here is how Real Madrid can lineup against FC Barcelona.

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Enjoyed a rather comfortable night against Mallorca but it may be the complete opposite this time around, with a potent Barcelona attack hoping to win a title.

RB: Lucas Vazquez

Recorded an assist and was not challenged as  much in the semi-final. Tonight’s match will be the complete opposite as he will come up against Raphinha with the Brazilian easily getting the better of him earlier this season. Vazquez will have a point to prove.

CB: Aurelien Tchouaméni

Seemingly having recovered from the collision, the Frenchman is expected to slot right in. Did well defensively in the last match and would have to be at his best against the Blaugrana attacking trio.

CB: Antonio Rüdiger

Will be up against a rather out-of-form Robert Lewandowski – but that does not mean the German will be taking things lightly. He may also have to deal with the runs of Lamine Yamal from time to time.

LB: Ferland Mendy

After quite some time, Mendy had a satisfactory outing in the semi-final. Again, would not offer much offensively but will have the tough job of marking Lamine Yamal.

CDM: Eduardo Camavinga

According to reports, the Frenchman is expected to be the lone pivot for this final. Was the standout player in the heavy defeat against Barcelona earlier this season and he would be eager to put in a similar performance – albeit ending up on the winning side.

CM: Fede Valverde

Has been a constant in this side and in his words, “I will have time to rest in July.” Would have to help Vazquez against Raphinha and Barcelona would be aware of his ability to surprise everyone with his long range shots.

CM: Jude Bellingham

Another day, another opportunity for Jude to step up in a big game. Has been doing so this season and enjoys a good record against the Blaugrana – 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 outings with 2 of the goals being in injury time. Has the ability to make line-breaking passes with the Barcelona defence playing a high line and also possesses the skills to win a game like this single-handedly.

RW: Rodrygo

Madridistas would be delighted with his recent performances. Had a goal and an assist in last year’s Super Cup final against the same opponents. Would look to get the better of Alejandro Balde.

ST: Kylian Mbappe

A player who would be eager to turn the tide after a horrific performance against Barcelona in the league fixture. The offside issue has been discussed and, according to Ancelotti, Mbappe would want to rectify his mistakes, coming up against the same defence. Knows how to step up and win big finals.

LW: Vinicius Junior

Had a good outing in the semi-final despite not being on the scoresheet. Scored a first-half hattrick in the Super Cup final against Barcelona last year. It will be a battle to watch as the Brazilian comes up against Jules Kounde. Like Mbappe, he is another player who has a point to prove against these opponents.
