They may be the newly-crowned Premier League champions, but Liverpool are performing as anything but today as they trail Chelsea by two goals in the second half.
Fully deserving of the guard of honour they received at Stamford Bridge before kick-off after an impressive season under debut headmaster Arne Slot, Enzo Maresca's Blues have upset the apple cart in West London thanks to an early goal from Enzo Fernández and a second goal courtesy of a Jarell Quansah after the interval.
But it was hardly Quansah's fault for Chelsea's second after an uncharacteristic mental lapse from star centre-back Virgil van Dijk saw the club captain pass the ball off his defensive partner and into the back of the net.
Few will care on the day, but at least the Reds have offered some comedic proceedings amidst their ongoing celebrations.
