Venezia attacking midfielder Gaetano Oristanio remains fond of his experience at Inter Milan after leaving the club last summer.
The 22-year-old was a mere when he decided to leave home and join the Nerazzurri.
The Italian rose through the club’s ranks, before embarking on a couple of experiences on loan. He spent two years in the Netherlands at Volendam and represented Cagliari last season.
Nevertheless, Inter and Oristanio decided to split paths permanently in the summer, as the player wasn’t able to convince Simone Inzaghi to hand him a squad berth.
But while his experience at Appiano Gentile didn’t reach its climax, this certainly wasn’t the end of the road for the young player.
After all, when one door closes another closes another opens. The same mantra applies to online gambling. For instance, if you fell on hard times at the platforms you’re currently using, then perhaps it’s a sign that you must try your luck at this Canadian online casino where you can find some enticing offers.
So after leaving Inter in the summer, Oristanio is hellbent on proving his worth at Venezia. He has already cemented himself as a regular feature in Eusebio Di Francesco’s starting lineup. He has thus far contributed with a goal and an assist in his 10 Serie A appearances.
But despite leaving Appiano Gentile, the Italy U21 starlet is still grateful for the Nerazzurri. He recalls how he left his family behind at the age of 13, but found a welcoming environment at Inter.
“It was a very difficult choice because I was very young,” said Oristanio in his interview with Calciomercato.
“At 13 I left home to go to Milano without family and friends. However, I found a beautiful environment. So I thank Inter because they raised me both as a person and as a footballer.
“My family helped me make this decision because it was an important life choice. Nowadays, I feel very mature for my age and it means it was the right path.”
The attacking midfielder also heaped praise on Manchester United star Christian Eriksen who guided him during his time at Inter.
“Eriksen impressed me with his humility. He’s a very kind person and always available to young players. He helped me not only on the pitch but also off it.
He always had a word of comfort or advice because I was 16 or 17 in my first experiences among the seniors, which is always very difficult. Sometimes, you only need a single word of reassurance.
