Dusan Vlahovic returned from international duties with some left thigh muscular discomfort. The tests ruled out a strain, but he’s a long shot to feature versus Milan. Juventus have set sights on several defenders, but they also need a strike to better deputize the Serb. They are eyeing Liam Delap in that regard. He’s faring well in his maiden season in the Premier League with Ipswich Town, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
The 21-year-old has bagged 6 goals in 13 appearances so far. The Manchester City product played on loan at Stoke City, Preston North End, and Hull City in the Championship in previous years. He amassed 12 goals in the past three campaigns combined before breaking out recently. He can star on the wing in a pinch.
On the other hand, Ipswich Town acquired Delap for nearly €18M last summer, so Juventus would need to invest to lure him. His valuation surely hasn’t gone down. The Bianconeri will get a better idea of whether they’ll need a new no.9 once Arkadiusz Milik resumes practicing in mid-December. He has missed every game so far due to a knee injury.
The Old Lady will need at least a couple of signings during the winter, but their firepower is scarce. They could cash in on some fringe players, but not Nicolò Fagioli, despite some reports linking him to PSG in a potential swap with Milan Skriniar, Fabrizio Romano relays (via SOSFanta).
It probably won’t be him, but, if the Bianconeri sign another forward, it should be somebody energetic, as they lack juice off the bench, and who could feature alongside Vlahovic and not just as a no.9.
