Kyle Walker landed in Italy this afternoon ahead of completing a move to AC Milan from Manchester City on an initial loan deal.
It will be a first experience outside England for Walker, who has previously played for Northampton, Sheffield United, QPR, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester City in his career.
He is best known for his spell at City from 2017 to today, during which he has racked up 319 appearances, six goals, 23 assists and 17 trophies, including a Champions League and six Premier Leagues.
Yesterday Milan and the Premier League champions agreed what is an initial loan deal (free) with an option to buy set at €5m. He will initially sign a contract until June worth €2.5m net, and then ‘extend’ until 2027 at €4.5m if it becomes permanent.
