Watch the official Arsenal 0 Newcastle 2 match highlights below.
Newcastle United on the front foot from the first whistle, their high press forcing Arsenal into mistakes in dangerous positions.
United not making the most of those early chances and situations though in the opening 20+ minutes.
The first half then becoming a more even contest, then Alexander Isak on the mark on 37 minutes to put United ahead.
Only six minutes into the second-half it was Gordon this time, after Isak’s shot only parried.
Eddie Howe then going into perfect game-management mode to see out the 2-0 victory.
I think these Arsenal 0 Newcastle 2 highlights must have been edited by Mikel Arteta. You would think Newcastle United had only got in the Arsenal half twice to score the two goals! That was very much not the case, at least not until going 2-0 up and thereafter Eddie Howe happy to keep what he had.
Embarrassing commentary as well throughout the game, the commentators desperate on Sky Sports for Arsenal to score/win. You would think Arsenal were England and Newcastle United the overseas opposition that everybody wanted to see get beat!
Apparently it was even worse for those watching on ITV, especially with Arsenal fan Lee Dixon on the commentary. He is terrible anyway when working on matches BUT for him to do this one, the team he played for and supports, it tells you everything about how the broadcasters approach these games and the coverage beamed out to the whole country and beyond.
Watch the goals AND the celebrations.
See for yourselves.
