Paris Saint-Germain are exploring options to bolster their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán on their radar.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed PSG’s interest in Durán but noted that negotiations could be tricky, as Villa value him at £80 million following his impressive form and recent contract extension. Villa are reportedly only willing to sell if a significant offer comes through.
To bridge the valuation gap, PSG are said to be considering including Marco Asensio in the deal, believing Durán’s worth to be about £25 million less than Villa’s demands.
Meanwhile, despite PSG’s interest in Durán, TBR Football reported on Monday, citing sources, that West Ham United made a bid for the Colombian forward. The Hammers are eager to strengthen their attack this month, leading them to submit an offer for Durán last week.
However, Aston Villa rejected West Ham’s bid, which was significantly lower than the amount needed to secure Durán’s transfer. The report also mentions that while a new offer was made, it was still “miles away” from Villa’s valuation.

Football Insider reported on Tuesday, citing sources, that Emmanuel Latte Lath, Evan Ferguson, and Yuri Alberto are among the striker targets at injury-hit West Ham after their Durán pursuit didn’t go as planned.
Durán is still a priority target, but the London club is exploring other options with the 3 February transfer deadline looming.
West Ham is eager to bolster their attack this month following injuries to Michail Antonio, Jarrad Bowen, and now Niclas Füllkrug.
