Sunderland AFC's Jobe Bellingham is a player that will be in hot demand this summer after two seasons of brilliant performances at the Stadium of Light.

Signed from Birmingham City in a deal worth £3 million in June 2023, his development has been rapid.

Alongside the ever-committed Dan Neil, he has forged an excellent partnership and is a pivotal reason behind the Black Cats' 2024-25 resurgence.

It will come as little surprise then that he has a host of active suitors, including Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Chelsea among others.

His current valuation is believed to be in the region of £20 million, but that could of course rise if he can help Sunderland secure promotion to the Premier League.

Nevertheless, a summer move seems likely and Football League World have asked AI to provide a summer prediction on where Bellingham should move this summer.

After asking ChatGPT where it believes Jobe Bellingham should move this summer, one clear outcome emerged: a move to Crystal Palace was deemed his best option.

The key reasons behind this are that Palace would offer Jobe a genuine opportunity for first-team football, having built a strong track record of signing and developing EFL talents in recent seasons.

Players such as Adam Wharton, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Olise all made the step-up to Selhurst Park from the Championship and have since flourished into standout performers.

Beyond that, it’s believed that at Palace, Jobe could truly emerge as a star in his own right - something that may not be possible at the likes of Chelsea or Manchester United, where he might be viewed more as a squad player. His older brother Jude, of course, catapulted into the spotlight following his move from Birmingham City to Borussia Dortmund, which ultimately paved the way for his £88.5 million transfer to Real Madrid.

At Palace, surrounded by the likes of Wharton and Eze, Jobe would have the platform to become a key figure in an exciting, youthful midfield. Given the current makeup of the squad, it’s fair to say the Eagles are crying out for a dynamic number eight to partner Wharton and drive the team forward.

While Palace supporters may not relish the idea of players using the club as a stepping stone, it's fair to say they have embraced a role as a developmental side.

This is evident in the case of Michael Olise, who left Selhurst Park in the summer to join Bayern Munich, where he has continued to make an impact.

For Jobe, if he possesses anything close to the ability of his older brother, then the Croydon-based club could serve as the perfect launchpad for his career, potentially paving the way for a bigger move further down the line. At just 19 years of age, what he needs most is regular football - something Palace can offer, unlike many of the Premier League’s more glamorous sides.

Moreover, under Oliver Glasner’s system, there’s a role perfectly suited to his game. His ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch would be a major asset to the side.

It seems AI might have got this one spot on - Bellingham at the Eagles would be a fascinating move, and it will be interesting to see how he would fare in red and blue.
