Inter are already planning moves ahead of the summer transfer window, and one of the top targets remains Como’s Nico Paz, but the Nerazzurri are hoping that Real Madrid will exercise their buy-back option for the talented 20-year-old at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Recent reports claim that the Nerazzurri are hoping to rejuvenate their squad during the next transfer window. Inter have already secured a deal for 21-year-old Petar Sucic, while Paz remains one of the favoured options in attack.

Paz, who made his debut for the Argentina national team in October, joined Como from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window for a reported fee of just €6m. Los Blancos also have a 50% sell-on clause, and also reserve the right to buy the player back for a fee of €12m.

Como’s President Mirwan Suwarso has recently made it clear that the club does not wish to part ways with any of their first-team players any time soon, Paz included, but they will not have a say in the matter if Real Madrid activate their buy-back clause.

As Como maintain their stance that they will not sell Paz in the summer, Inter may be hoping that Real Madrid activate their buy-back option in the summer, as the Nerazzurri feel it will be easier to negotiate with the Spanish giants, rather than with a competitor in the same league.

According to reports from Tuttosport, quoted via TMW, Madrid could potentially be talked into selling Paz for a fee in the region of €25m, which would still bring a significant profit for the LaLiga leaders.
