Matheus Cunha has been an important player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, excelling in various attacking roles, including as an attacking midfielder, supporting striker, and center-forward.

According to Fichajes, the Brazilian forward has caught the interest of top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain. While Cunha is reportedly happy at Wolves and enjoying his time in the Premier League, the club may consider offers over €70 million.

His impressive performances, like the stunning “Olympic goal” he scored against Manchester United on Thursday, which put Wolves 1-0 up, only highlight his attacking talent and could increase his value in the transfer market.

Cunha is likely to attract plenty of attention in January following his recent performances. He’s now scored three goals in a row, including his crucial contribution to Wolves’ 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Boxing Day. Manager Vitor Pereira has expressed his desire to keep the player at the club.

“Of course, of course,” Pereira said (h/t The Mirror). “I really do. We need his quality, we need his quality.”

The Athletic highlighted Arsenal’s need to strengthen their attack, particularly after Bukayo Saka’s injury. Their report notes that Arsenal have been long-time admirers of Cunha, even though he isn’t a top target at the moment.

Arsenal are paying attention to his strong performances this season and keeping track of his situation. However, it’s unlikely Wolves would let him go in the middle of a season where they’re likely battling relegation.

If Wolves get relegated, though, it could create an opportunity for a move. There’s also the chance that Cunha may not extend his contract, which runs through 2027.
