AC Milan are preparing for a huge game against Hellas Verona tomorrow night, and the Rossoneri need to bounce back from their midweek setback.
Things against Feyenoord were not up to scratch and that has left things feeling very deflated. However, Milan have been given a nicer fixture this weekend to bounce back, respectfully. Verona, in many ways, offer a chance that the Rossoneri have to take.
Not only is it a chance to help prove that the side have quality still, but also the fact that the Diavolo can cope against a weaker side – which they have struggled with this season.
A big win, both literally and contextually, will be huge for the Champions League return against Feyenoord next week, and it seems that their opponents are already quite worried about the game.
In his pre-match press conference, Paolo Zanetti, the head coach of Hellas, spoke about his side’s chances and he seemed slightly resigned to defeat already – Milan News relays his comments.
On the match…
“We’ll go to Milan to react, we need a reaction of soul and technique. Sometimes we get emotional about what we do and sometimes we get ashamed, but we’ve already shown in the past that we know how to do it.”
On their momentum…
“We are on the waterline, what we have done so far tells us that we have deserved to be where we are. In this moment experience is important and it is fundamental to manage the young players without risking burning them out.
“We have a very difficult game ahead of us against an opponent with an impressive technical coefficient. We must focus on ourselves and we must believe in ourselves, otherwise we have already lost from the start.”
On the injured players…
“Beginning of pubalgia for Lazovic, he returned yesterday and will be available at half service. Faraoni had a small strain, but he’ll be there to help out if needed. Tengstedt and Serdar out another two-three games, Tengstedt can recover sooner.
“Livramento returned on Thursday and will be in the match, he can be useful in the competition.”
