Three leading members of Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad suffered minor fitness setbacks en route to the club’s latest victory.

Real Madrid were of course back in action on Sunday evening, welcoming Rayo Vallecano to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, owing to goals on the part of Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Jr.

As alluded to above, though, en route to as much, several key players picked up problems on the injury front.

The trio in question come in the form of goalscorer Vinícius, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo.

Real Madrid insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic has late on Sunday provided an insight into the situation, with it concluded that, thankfully, all are expected to be fit to play their part in the Champions League on Wednesday:

‘The club reports that Vinicius has a minor injury to a toe on his right foot, Bellingham has suffered a minor blow to his right thigh and Rodrydo has suffered another blow to the metatarsal of his left hand, although “it is not serious”.’
