The summer transfer window is approaching and Barcelona are back to 1:1 regarding player transfers. So, there are certain areas that the Catalan club are focusing on to rejuvenate in the summer. One of them is the position of the right winger, where 17-year-old Lamine Yamal is playing week and week out and carrying the attack of the club. However, they don’t have any option to rotate with the Spaniard and hence Barcelona are targeting a right winger in the transfer market.
Amidst all this, SPORT has reported that Mohamed Salah of Liverpool has offered himself to Barcelona. Salah is in the last few months of his contract at Anfield and he has not reached any agreement over a new contract at the Merseyside club. So, obviously, a player of the calibre and quality of Salah has attracted the attention of multiple clubs.

Liverpool’s Egyptian maestro is a world-class winger defined by speed and precision. His explosive pace and nimble footwork allow him to move past defenders, while his elite ball control thrives in tight spaces. Salah’s left-footed finishing is lethal, consistently converting chances with clinical accuracy, making him a top-tier goal-scorer.
Beyond scoring, his vision and incisive passing create opportunities for teammates, reflecting his unselfish playmaking. His relentless pressing and stamina embody a tireless work ethic, disrupting opponents high up the pitch. With mental toughness and a knack for clutch performances, Salah combines technical brilliance with determination. Therefore, he will still be a quality signing for any club.
Salah hasscored 27 goals in 29 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes are 0.94. Moreover, Salah’s total G/A (goals + assists) is 44 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 1.54 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.64. This puts Mohamed Salah’s npxG output at 18.19.
Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Salah passes the ball roughly 30.72 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 73.61%. He also plays 2.41 key passes each game. Overall, Salah Hamed Mahrous Ghaly’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.49 per 90 minutes. These stats clearly demonstrate that Salah has been at the peak of his powers in the ongoing season.
Getting Salah for free would be a welcome addition to an already quality squad like Barcelona. However, the Egyptian does need to lower his wages if he needs to facilitate his move to the Catalan club. It remains to be seen if Barcelona do make a move for him in the summer.
