Paris Saint-Germain are exploring different options to boost their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán now considered a potential target.

Back in October, Eduardo Burgos of Diario AS reported that PSG and Bayern Munich both made offers for Durán during the summer transfer window, but Aston Villa turned them down.

A more recent update from CaughtOffside reveals that PSG are still uncertain whether to meet Aston Villa’s £60 million asking price for the forward, as they continue to assess his potential.

The report also highlights that Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have expressed interest and asked about the terms of a possible deal. However, there seems to be some confusion surrounding the exact fee for Durán.

TEAMtalk reported on Friday that PSG have reached out to Villa to discuss the terms of his potential move. Additionally, the Colombian forward is eager to make the switch.

The report also reveals that Villa would be looking for £80 million to let Durán go, but Durán’s representatives are working to lower the asking price to help secure his departure.

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently reported that PSG are interested in signing Durán, but negotiations could be tricky due to Villa’s £80 million asking price this January. The high valuation is a result of Durán’s strong form and his recent contract extension, with Villa only willing to sell if they receive an exceptional offer.

PSG are considering offering Randal Kolo Muani or Marco Asensio as part of the deal, as they feel Durán’s value is about £25 million less than Villa’s asking price.
