Federico Chiesa is uncertain about his future at Liverpool, as his ambition to prove himself in the Premier League clashes with his growing desire to reclaim a leading role at club level.
The 27-year-old made just five Premier League appearances this season, all coming off the bench, including a late cameo in the Reds’ 3-1 defeat to Chelsea — enough to earn him a winners’ medal, but not the impact he – and everyone else at the club – had hoped for.

His limited playing time in both the Premier League and Champions League has cast serious doubt over his long-term prospects at Anfield, as the Italy international is now tempted by the idea of joining a club where he would be a guaranteed starter.
According to Calciomercato.com, Napoli and Milan have emerged as the most likely destinations, with Chiesa reportedly open to a return to Serie A.
Both clubs match his ambition to fight for silverware and could offer him the central role he enjoyed when he helped lead Italy to their unexpected triumph at Euro 2020.

His agent, Fali Ramadani, is expected to travel to Liverpool in the coming days to discuss his client’s future.
The relatively low fee Liverpool paid to sign Chiesa from Juventus — just €12 million — could facilitate negotiations with interested clubs.
