Erling Haaland returned to Manchester City training on Tuesday, but manager Pep Guardiola has admitted a final decision on his involvement against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday is yet to be made.
The Norway international tweaked his knee late in the victory over Newcastle United earlier this month and, despite initial confidence over his condition, missed City's last two games against Real Madrid and Liverpool.
He was spotted back in training on Tuesday, but Guardiola pleaded for patience from City fans as he admitted a decision on his return will have to be made closer to kick off on Wednesday.
"Tonight we will know, after training," Guardiola told his pre-match press conference. "I hope so but I don't know yet.
"He feels better but couldn't have played in the last two games."
City have struggled in front of goal in Haaland's absence and will be wary of an upset against a Tottenham side enjoying a real upturn in form as their own injury crisis began to ease. Three consecutive wins in the Premier League have lifted Ange Postecoglou's side up to 12th in the league table, 11 points behind City heading into the midweek action.
