Jeff Carlisle has reported for ESPN that MLS side Chicago Fire have begun talks with De Bruyne over a potential move to the United States. But now another suitor has emerged to secure De Bruyne’s services. Esteemed Kompany has learned that Serie A leaders Napoli are making a move to bring the Manchester City legend to Serie A.
It has been revealed by Esteemed Kompany sources that Napoli are prepared to offer Kevin De Bruyne a two-year deal, with an option of a third season to join them. Furthermore, Esteemed Kompany has learned that the Serie A leaders are prepared to offer De Bruyne an annual salary of €6 million per season. Napoli are hoping that the potential to play in the Champions League next season can sway the race to sign De Bruyne in their favour. Esteemed Kompany sources have also revealed that Romelu Lukaku could be key in Napoli’s push to sign De Bruyne. Lastly, Esteemed Kompany has also learned that Napoli’s offer isn’t as lucrative financially as proposals from the Saudi Pro League and the MLS that De Bruyne has received. But the offer to stay in Europe and play at the highest level could be tempting for Kevin De Bruyne.
