Dani Olmo’s first season at Barcelona has been far from perfect. Injuries and registration issues have limited his playing time, making it difficult for the Spanish international to gain consistency.
However, in recent weeks, the talented playmaker has started to show signs of his best form, most notably delivering a superb performance in the recent win over Real Sociedad.
While Olmo’s technical brilliance has never been in doubt, his resurgence is not solely due to his natural ability.
As reported by MARCA, a key factor behind his return to form is the personalised training plan designed by Hansi Flick and his coaching staff, tailored specifically to optimize his physical condition and reduce the risk of recurring injuries.
A few weeks ago, Olmo underwent an in-depth physical analysis that examined various aspects of his body, muscle composition, and fitness levels.

The results of this study allowed Barcelona’s staff to craft a training regimen that suits his physiological characteristics.
This approach includes carefully structured training sessions, load management, customized recovery strategies, and a specific nutritional plan.
All these are aimed at maximizing Olmo’s performance while minimizing any physical risks, including muscular setbacks.
Flick’s plan has come to fruition as well, with Olmo notably playing 71 minutes against Sociedad. The Spaniard, in fact, was instrumental in Barcelona’s resounding 4-0 win over the Txuri-Urdin.
It must be noted that Barcelona have a similar strategy in place for Pedri, who has been at the peak of his physical form this season. The same strategy is working for Olmo, too, it seems.
