Juventus host Hellas Verona on Monday night looking to climb back into the Champions League places.
Thiago Motta’s side have won four consecutive games in Serie A and will want to continue that momentum this evening. Currently fifth in the table, The Old Lady will climb back above Lazio if defeat is avoided at the Allianz Stadium.
Motta has come under pressure at Juventus, during an up-and-down debut campaign. Last month, the Turin side suffered disappointing exits in the Champions League and Coppa Italia. The latter contest saw Juventus lose on penalties to relegation-threatened Empoli. The Bianconeri have also been Serie A’s draw specialists with no team drawing more games (13) this season.
Juventus host a Hellas Verona side who sit 14th in the table. Paolo Zanetti’s side upset Fiorentina in their last fixture but boast the worst defensive record in the league. Verona have conceded 54 goals in 26 games. Juventus, in contrast, boast the league’s best defensive record (21).
Thiago Motta must managed a depleted defence this evening. Bremer and Juan Cabal are out for the campaign and have been joined by Nicolo Savona and Renato Veiga in the treatment room. Pierre Kalulu is also on the sidelines.
Further forward, Douglas Luiz’s injury-impacted debut season continue. Another muscular issue means the Brazilian will miss out this evening.
Dusan Vlahovic is pushing to partner Randal Kolo Muani after scoring the winner against Cagliari last time out. The Serbian striker has been reduced to a bit-part role since Kolo Muani’s loan arrival from Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Juventus predicted XI: Di Gregorio; Weah, Gatti, Kelly, Cambiaso; Thuram, Locatelli, McKennie; Yildiz, Kolo Muani, Vlahovic.
Juventus host Hellas Verona in Serie A on Monday 3rd Match 2025. Kick-off in Turin is 19:45.
