The latest international break is over, with Premier League football set to resume once again this weekend.

But there are several new injury doubts following the break. We round up who could be set to miss out this weekend, and possibly beyond, due to injury.

Doubts/injured: Saka, Martinelli, Havertz, Partey, Timber, Tomiyasu, White, Zinchenko, Odegaard, Tierney

Ineligeble: Neto (parent club)

The Gunners were dealt a double injury worry during the international break, with wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both suffering problems. Saka limped off during England’s defeat to Greece before returning to Arsenal early for assessments on the problem, while Martinelli suffered a calf issue while away with Brazil. It is unclear as of yet how serious the injuries are and whether they can play this weekend against Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz, Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber all did not go away with their respective nations during the break because of injury concerns.

Takehiro Tomiyasu returned to action before the break but unconfirmed reports have claimed he has suffered another injury setback. Ben White was absent before the break because of a knee problem, and Martin Odegaard continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered during the previous international break. Kieran Tierney remains out with his significant hamstring problem.

But Mikel Arteta had hoped to welcome back Oleksandr Zinchenko after the break. More information will be available tomorrow when Arteta holds his pre-match press conference.

Chelsea

Doubts/injured: Chukwuemeka, James, Kellyman

Suspended: Fofana, Cucurella

Reece James continues to work his way back from his latest injury setback, while the Blues will also be without suspended defensive duo Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella for the game against Liverpool after they both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season.

Liverpool

Doubts/injured: Alisson, Elliott, Chiesa

Alisson is not expected to be back in time for the game against Chelsea because of a thigh injury. The problem which kept Federico Chiesa out of the game against Crystal Palace was not a serious one so he could return, however, but Harvey Elliott is out for the long term.

Man City

Doubts/injured: Rodri, Bobb, Ake, De Bruyne

Rodri and Oscar Bobb are both set to be out for a while yet with their respective injuries. Nathan Ake, however, has returned to training and could be back soon following his thigh problem. Kevin De Bruyne could also return.

Man Utd

Doubts/injured: Yoro, Malacia, Mazraoui, Maguire, Shaw, Mount, Garnacho, Amad, Mainoo, Ugarte

Noussair Mazraoui is set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing minor heart surgery. Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia are continuing to work their way back from significant injuries. Harry Maguire was subbed off during the goalless draw with Aston Villa before the break and could miss out this weekend depending on the severity of the problem.

Luke Shaw is expected back soon, as is Mason Mount, while Amad should be fine following an illness. Mainoo and Garnacho both pulled out of international duty and it is unclear what the severity of their injuries are, while Ugarte was forced off for Uruguay during the break and could miss the game against Brentford.

Doubts/injured: Odobert, Bergvall

Ange Postecoglou confirmed Heung Min-Son and Richarlison are expected to return to the Spurs squad for the clash with West Ham on Saturday following their injuries. Lucas Bergvall, meanwhile, has a minor knock but “should be okay” according to the Spurs boss, while Wilson Odobert is making good progress on his recovery from a hamstring injury but is not yet ready to return.
