Furthermore, Romano reports that the Dutch international is focused on finishing this season with AC Milan. Romano further reports that Manchester City and AC Milan respect this and will commence transfer negotiations over the Dutch international at the end of this season.

It would appear that Manchester City aren’t wasting any time in getting their ducks in a row ahead of this summer. They cannot afford to wait around due to the size of the rebuild that is needed. Pep Guardiola’s squad does need to be regenerated. The quicker Manchester City can complete their summer transfer business, the better it will be.
