Denzel Dumfries will start today’s Serie A clash between Lecce and Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that Federico Dimarco and Nicolo Barella will get a rest.
Inter take on Lecce in Serie A this evening.
The Nerazzurri will certainly be feeling the pressure to take three points. Napoli’s victory over Juventus yesterday means that anything other than a win would be a slip-up in the title race.
But on the other hand, Inter have plenty of other matches to think about.
The Nerazzurri take on Monaco and AC Milan within the next week. Then, a brutal February fixture list is on the way.
Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to make some changes to the team.
Two big names will drop out of the Inter starting eleven as a result of Inzaghi’s squad rotation.
Firstly, on the left flank, Federico Dimarco will get a rest. Carlos Augusto will start in the Italian international’s place.

Then, in midfield Davide Frattesi is set to take the place of Davide Frattesi.
However, one notable name who will stay in the lineup is wingback Denzel Dumfries.
The Dutchman is one booking away from suspension. Therefore, if he receives a yellow card this evening he would miss the derby against AC Milan next weekend.
However, the Corriere report, Inzaghi still has every intention of giving Dumfries the nod. He will start on the right flank.
