A member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid boasts the best passing percentage in La Liga across the season to date.

That’s according to statisticians WhoScored, who point towards Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.

France international Tchouaméni has of course continued to play a leading role for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real across the early weeks of the campaign.

In Los Blancos’ 12 outings across all competitions, Tchouaméni has featured from the off in all but one.

Recent weeks have seen the 24-year-old come in for regular criticism on the part of the Real Madrid faithful, amid frustration with the fact that Tchouaméni has not yet developed into the kind of player capable of controlling a midfield on his own – à la Toni Kroos.

As alluded to above, though, the stats, or one specifically, certainly appears to back the Frenchman, rather than his critics.

This comes amid confirmation that, at 92.5%, Tchouaméni ‘has the best pass success rate of any midfielder in La Liga this season’.
