Juventus picked up an important 2-1 victory over Lecce in Serie A over the weekend, but Igor Tudor was not completely satisfied with what he saw from his players, explaining that he was ‘not happy’ with the second half substitutes, which led to a decision to call the first team squad back in early on Sunday.

According to reports from Tuttosport, Tudor postponed Juventus’s scheduled day off on Sunday, and brought his players back in for a recovery session and debrief instead. Tudor and Juve recorded an important 2-1 victory over Lecce on Saturday, which secured their status in the Serie A top four, and also maintained the coach’s unbeaten record with the Old Lady, He now has two wins and a draw from his first three matches in charge.

However, speaking at his post-match press conference, Tudor insisted that he wasn’t pleased with what he saw from his second-half substitutes, telling the media: “We have to grow quickly. Excuses are for everyone.”

The Juventus coach also said that he thinks the team should have killed the game off long before full-time, and added that the game should be considered a “lesson learned.”
