The statistics show that Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has gotten himself on a hot finishing streak.
As the Gazzetta dello Sport show, via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri as a whole have in fact been enjoying a strong run of form at being clinical in front of goal.
In recent weeks, Martinez has gone back to being a real attacking talisman for Inter.
Earlier on in the season, the Argentine was far from his best in front of goal.
Martinez was initially dealing with a lack of proper fitness due to his shortened preseason. Then, even after he started looking physically sharper, he missed a number of good chances
Since the end of December, however, Martinez has been much more clinical in terms of taking his chances.
The Inter captain scored a volley from an improbable angle against Sparta Prague on Wednesday. That showed just what an impressive finisher he is capable of being.
However, Lautaro Martinez did miss a couple of better opportunities in Prague.

As a whole, Inter’s finishing has been strong this season.
Last season, after 31 matches in all competitions, Inter Milan had scored 64 goals from 68.3 expected goals.
This time around, the Nerazzurri’s expected goals after 31 matches is 56.4.
That has gone down from last campaign.
However, Inter have actually scored more goals this time around compared to last time out. They have found the back of the net 65 times across all competitions.
