Viljami Sinisalo is looking to start his seventh game in a row when the Champions welcome Hibernian to Celtic Park this Saturday (KO: 3pm).

The Finnish goalkeeper has come into the team since the end of March following an injury picked up by Kasper Schmeichel while on international duty, and Sinisalo has impressed between the sticks, only conceding two goals and keeping four clean sheets.

In this run of games, he has played in a Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden, a Glasgow derby at Ibrox and a title-winning game at Tannadice.

Now he’s looking forward to facing Hibernian this weekend as Brendan Rodgers’ side aim to finish the Premiership campaign in style.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Hoops keeper said: “The feeling is good and positive and we want to end the season on a real high, starting tomorrow against Hibs.

“We’ve got three really important games leading up the cup final so everyone knows that every game is important. No one’s taking the game lightly.

'We’re expecting a tough game because Hibs have been doing really well, so I’m looking forward to it.'

“They’ve done really well. They turned their season around right before Christmas and they went on that long unbeaten run, and they’ve always proved to be tough opposition for us.

“They’ve got some real quality footballers, they’ve got a clear style of play, so we’re expecting a tough game and everybody’s got to be at it and on our game to get the three points.”

Last weekend, Sinisalo had his first experience of a Glasgow derby, and he performed impressively in the 1-1 draw.

“You start playing games and you just want more and more,” he said, “and I’m sure every footballer’s the same.

“I want to play as much as I can and that’s always been my drive. I enjoyed it last week and I’ve enjoyed every single chance I’ve had here and hopefully there’s many more to come.

'People definitely want to be staking a claim to play in the cup final, and every chance you get to play for Celtic you’ve got to take it and try and do your best.'

“Players want to make the manager’s decisions really hard for that cup final and try and play as well as you can, so there’s a selection headache as such.

“So I’m sure everyone will be bouncing to get a chance to play at Celtic Park as well after winning the league.

“Every game’s an opportunity and I’m just trying to focus on taking it game by game. I’m just trying to do my best and prove my worth, and then, if there’s a decision to make then there is, but that’s not my decision.”
