After their recent victory over PSV, Ajax’s path to their 37th league title seems to have cleared. With the Amsterdammers nine points clear with six games remaining, VoetbalPrimeur delved into the remaining program for Francesco Farioli’s team in the 2024-25 season.

A week after the impressive victory at their Eindhoven rivals, Ajax managed to beat NAC Breda 3-1 this weekend. Farioli’s team thus made it through the first of ‘seven finals’, as the Italian described it earlier.

Farioli’s vigilance is not without reason. There are still a few difficult hurdles to overcome. For example, Ajax will have to visit FC Utrecht on Easter Sunday, a top-four team that fought back valiantly against Go Ahead Eagles to rescue a point from 2-0 down (ended 2-2).

With the finish line in sight, Ajax begins the final sprint. With a clash against FC Twente on the final day, Farioli’s team still have a tough finale ahead of them. However, it will become clear where the Amsterdammers stand after one season under the Italian coach.
