Arsenal have been dealt a double boost ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg with PSG, with both Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber involved in team training.

Calafiori has not played for the Gunners since March after suffering a knee injury while on international duty with Italy.

Timber, meanwhile, missed Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday with a knock but was part of his team’s open training session in front of the cameras ahead of the trip to Paris.

But Jorginho again missed out with the chest injury he suffered last month.

There was also no sign of Kai Havertz, who has been out since February after suffering a serious hamstring injury while on Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai.

Speaking last week, boss Mikel Arteta said he was hopeful that Havertz would be able to return this season, however.

“I think so, yeah,” he said when asked if he will be back before the end of the campaign. “Hopefully, if everything goes well in the next week or so, I think he will.”

On Jorginho, Arteta said the midfielder’s injury had proved to be “more complicated” than originally thought.

“It’s got a bit more complicated than expected,” he said.

“Thankfully, he’s fine, he’s feeling good, he’s recovering well, but it was a bit more than what we wanted.”

PSG, meanwhile, have also been handed a boost with star man Ousmane Dembele training with the team ahead of the game.

The French champions had revealed that Dembele had picked up a hamstring injury but looks set to play a part against PSG.

Speaking after the first leg, boss Luis Enrique said: “It’s not serious, it’s something very minor, but he’s probably a doubt for the second leg.

“We’re going to try to get Dembele back on the pitch. If Ousmane can play, that’s better, but if he doesn’t, we’ll still be a real team. We’ve been saying that since the start of the season.”
