Arsenal have been given a major boost after Jurrien Timber trained ahead of the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Timber has been an injury doubt for the game in Paris on Wednesday after he missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta said after the game that he was not confident Timber would be fit to face PSG but the defender trained with the rest of the Arsenal squad on Tuesday morning before they were due to travel to Paris.
His fitness would be a major lift for the Gunners as they bid to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit against PSG to reach the final.

Martin Odegaard also trained, allaying any fears of an injury after the Arsenal captain was seen limping at the end of the Bournemouth game.
Riccardo Calafiori trained as he closes in on a return from his knee injury. Jorginho remains sidelined due to a rib injury.
Kai Havertz is still not training with the squad, while Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Arteta will provide a full update on Timber’s fitness and the latest Arsenal injury news when he holds his pre-match press conference in Paris on Wednesday evening.
PSG have been boosted the fitness of Ousmane Dembele, who was forced off late on in the first leg with a hamstring injury after scoring the winner at Emirates Stadium.
Dembele has trained this week and is expected to be fit.
