Nico Williams is still in high demands

Nico Williams came through Athletic Bilbao and made his senior team debut in 2020. Since then he has been on a rising spree. He has established himself as one of the most exciting wingers across the globe and has interest from multiple clubs.

Williams has had a below-par season till as now as he has managed to find the back of the net only twice in 23 games. However, he has assisted in achieving five goals in the process. He is averaging 1.8 shots, 1.7 key passes, and 2.2 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The Spanish winger is versatile enough to play on either wing. He is electrifying on the field, has great dribbling sense, and can create changes. He can also provide the finishing touches and the attacker also helps in the defensive areas a lot.

Will Nico Williams join Arsenal?

Reports state that Arsenal think-tank Mikel Arteta is desperate to bring a quality winger following the injuries to Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling. The former is anyday a starter in the lineup and his knee injury will keep in sidelined for many weeks to come.

Hence, the Gunners need to bring an apt replacement as they continue to fight across all competitions. To fill the space, the management is hoping to bring Nico Williams in the winter window. He has a £50 million release clause, which shouldn’t be an issue for the English giants.

However, there is uncertainty whether the 22-year-old will entertain a move or not. He might prefer to move to Barcelona next summer to join his national mates. Arsenal might also try to bring a notable name on a loan deal as signing an impactful player is tough at this time.
