Athletic Club star suffers hamstring injury ahead of Mallorca matchup | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Athletic Club have this week been dealt a fresh setback on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Dani Vivian is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Defender Vivian was for his part in from the off on Thursday night, as Athletic Club made the trip to Italy for a Europa League meeting with AS Roma.

En route to an eventual 2-1 defeat, however, the Spanish international was forced into a premature departure from proceedings early on.

This came after Vivian pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular concern.

And as alluded to above, on Friday evening, an insight into the extent of the 25-year-old’s problem has been provided.

As per a statement across Athletic’s website and social media platforms:

‘Dani Vivian was substituted in the 23rd minute of the match against AS Roma after suffering a moderate muscle injury to the femoral biceps (hamstring) of his right leg. The defender is awaiting further development.’
