Barcelona add new name to striker transfer wishlist | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked a new potential option in the club’s ongoing search for a new centre-forward.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Benjamin Šeško as the player in question.

Frontman Šeško has spent the season to date continuing to make a name for himself as one of European football’s standout young attackers.

Across 30 appearances in all competitions in the colours of RB Leipzig, the Slovenian has racked up 15 goals and four assists.

And such exploits have evidently not gone unnoticed at the aforementioned Barcelona.

As per Sport, amid an ongoing search for a long-term replacement for the aging Robert Lewandowski, Deco considers Šeško an interesting option.

The player’s representatives were recently spotted in Catalunya’s capital, albeit with official negotiations over a transfer yet to take place.

One to keep an eye on, though, as we inch towards the summer window…
