A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Thursday secured for himself a prestigious individual prize.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine is for his part fresh off a hugely productive month in September.
Across appearances in Barcelona’s four La Liga fixtures, the 17-year-old shone from his berth on the right flank, notching a quartet of direct goal contributions along the way.
This included a superb brace against Girona, and a sumptuous assist en route to Barca’s 5-1 drubbing of Villarreal.
After scooping the prize for La Liga U23 Player of the Month for August, Lamine, this time round, has therefore gone one better.
As revealed by the reliable FutSheriff on ‘X’ on Friday evening, Barcelona’s wing prodigy has been named the Spanish top-flight’s very best for September.
An official announcement is expected by way of La Liga themselves over the days ahead.
