Barcelona star hails manager Hansi Flick | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the manner in which boss Hansi Flick goes about his job.

German tactician Flick for his part of course took up the reins in Catalunya’s capital this past summer.

The 59-year-old went on to enjoy nothing short of a remarkable start to life in Spain, guiding Barcelona comfortably clear atop the La Liga table.

And though recent weeks have seen the Blaugrana brought back down to earth by way of a string of disappointing results, the signs are nevertheless there that Flick could go on to build something quite special if afforded the time to fully implement his ideas.

One individual, meanwhile, who is certainly appreciative of the efforts put in by his new manager to date comes in the form of the aforementioned Lamine Yamal.

Speaking in an interview with Barca One this week, wide-man Lamine was asked for an insight into Flick’s methods.

And the 17-year-old made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on the former Bayern Munich headmaster:

”He’s a coach who talks to you, explains to you why things happen. When you don’t play, he tells you why before the line-up comes out. He gives you advice so that everyone is doing well and I think that’s very important for the players.”

Lamine continued:

”He gives me confidence. In the end, he’s a coach who knows how to say the right thing at the right time. He always tells me I’m very important for the team, that I should believe it because you need to have confidence and a bit of selfishness because in the end, that’s also good. He is a coach who gives you a lot of confidence to step on the field.”
