As the 31st December deadline to register Dani Olmo with La Liga has already passed, the Spaniard’s future at FC Barcelona is now highly uncertain.

He already has the option to become a free agent if he remains unregistered with the league, but the former RB Leipzig midfielder made his intentions clear as he published a picture of him celebrating the new year’s arrival with the captain “It’s 2025 time” accompanied with two hearts in Barcelona colors.

This social media post proved to be quite reassuring for the Blaugrana fans, as it got more than half a million likes, was shared more than 3000 times, and got more than 9000 comments on it.

As SPORT has reported, one of the commentators on his post was his Barcelona teammate, Lamine Yamal. The youngster would be keenly aware of the repercussions of Olmo’s lack of registration with La Liga, and replied to his post with the words: “Dani Olmo is culerrrr”.

In addition to Lamine Yamal, another Blaugrana player who commented on this post was the veteran defender Inigo Martinez, who commented with nine-clock emoticons. His comment would have been a clear indication of the shortness of time that the Catalan club has on its hands to solve this problem.

. But the post shared by the midfielder and the reactions of his two teammates show that the player himself and the dressing room at large are rather calm about this situation, and believe he can still be registered in the month of January.
