Bayer Leverkusen will be without Victor Boniface for their trip to face Stade Brestois in Brittany in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

The Nigeria international was involved in a car accident over the weekend. Whilst he came away relatively unscathed with cuts on his foot and hand, he will play not part against Brest, as confirmed by Xabi Alonso, who said that he would afford the striker time to emotionally recover from the incident.

In his absence, Patrick Schick will lead the line for the reigning Bundesliga champions, whilst there is also a return to Britanny for former Stade Rennais forward Martin Terrier. He will start on the right of the attack for Bayer Leverkusen when they face Les Pirates.
