Hertha Berlin have announced that Deyovaisio Zeefuik is on his way to Italy to have a medical. Kicker are reporting the Dutchman is to join Hellas Verona on loan.
Zeefuik trained with Hertha on Thursday morning but left for Italy in the afternoon. The loan move has the option to buy if the Italian team wish to do so. The 24-year-old joined Hertha from FC Groningen in 2020 on a free transfer but has failed to establish himself in the first team.
The defender spent part of last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship where he played six times during his six-month spell. He has been unable to displace Jonjo Kenny at right-back for Hertha since he joined on a free from Everton in the summer.
Hertha are currently 15th in the league, joint on points with VfB Stuttgart who are in the relegation play-off position.
