A club director has confirmed that one of his players who also happens to be a Chelsea transfer target, wants to leave before deadline day.

Clubs have just four more days to seal up any late transfer deals before the January transfer window closes on Monday night for Premier League sides anyway.

Sources: Chelsea considering late move for PL striker who isn’t Liam Delap!!

Chelsea have not yet made a single permanent transfer deal. All they have done is confirm a dry loan move for Renato Veiga to join Juventus until the end of this season. Despite hundreds of rumours and of us hearing about Chelsea’s big plans and a ‘busy week’ forecast for this current week, right now, it is all still very bland and very quiet.

Chelsea ARE still there for Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel, although even that one looks like it could still be a million miles away and all the big clubs are also now being linked with him.

For a while this window, it looked liked Tel wanted to stay at Bayern and was only going to be open to a loan move just to play more first team football. However, that situation has now changed and he may have now kicked his last ball for the club.

Tel wants out

As picked up by Fabrizio Romano over night, Bayern’s club director Max Eberl has confirmed that Tel wants to leave the club, and it doesn’t sound like they will be standing in his way.

Eberl said:

“Mathys Tel wants to leave… so we will assess all the options and decide what to do”.

“I can understand him”, Eberl added.

There you have it. The player is up for sale. So if Chelsea really want him, then they have a really good chance to get it done now.
